Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 12, 2026

Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Static Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when operating Static, including the Minecraft servers, website, storefront, Discord community, support channels, and related features (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Scope and Roles

This Policy applies to information that Static Studios controls through the Services. Third-party services such as Minecraft/Microsoft, Discord, and Tebex process information under their own privacy notices. Tebex operates store checkout and acts as the reseller and merchant of record. Discord controls the Discord platform, while we control the information our team records or exports for community administration and support.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Player and account identifiers: Minecraft username, UUID, platform, Discord username or user ID, and related public profile information.
  • Network and device information: IP address, browser type, device and operating-system information, request logs, approximate location inferred from IP address, timestamps, and security signals.
  • Gameplay and community information: gameplay activity, progression, inventory or economy records, chat and command logs, reports, warnings, bans, appeals, linked-account status, and interactions with staff or other players.
  • Store and transaction information: basket identifier, Minecraft username, purchased items, delivery status, order ID, currency, country, transaction status, gift recipient, gift-card details, and information needed to fulfill a purchase. Tebex and its payment providers collect payment credentials; we do not receive or store your full card or bank-account number.
  • Support and communications: email address or other contact details you choose to provide, Discord ticket content, messages, attachments, feedback, and records of how a request was resolved.
  • Website preferences: selected currency, store session and basket data, Minecraft account details used for the store, sign-in timestamp, and sidebar preference stored in your browser.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through game chat, Discord, or support unless it is necessary for us to resolve your request.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • directly from you when you enter a username, make a purchase, submit content, contact support, or participate in the community;
  • automatically from the website, game servers, security systems, and browser storage when you use the Services; and
  • from service providers and platforms such as Minecraft/Microsoft, Discord, and Tebex when needed to operate accounts, communities, purchases, or support.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, personalize, maintain, and troubleshoot the Services;
  • identify players, create and restore store baskets, deliver purchases, and provide transaction support;
  • moderate the community, enforce our Terms and Rules, prevent ban evasion, and resolve appeals;
  • protect players and the Services from cheating, fraud, abuse, attacks, and unauthorized access;
  • communicate with you about support requests, purchases, security, policy changes, and service updates;
  • understand aggregate service performance and improve gameplay, reliability, and features; and
  • comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Services, comply with legal obligations, and obtain consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

5. Browser Storage, Cookies, and External Resources

The website uses local browser storage to remember the Minecraft account and basket associated with the store, selected currency, and sign-in time. Store sign-in data is designed to expire after approximately two days. The website may also set a cookie to remember whether the store sidebar is open. These technologies support requested functionality and are not used by us for cross-site behavioral advertising.

The website loads resources or data from service providers such as Google Fonts, Tebex, Discord, and currency-data content-delivery networks. When your browser connects to those providers, they may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, and the page requesting the resource under their own privacy notices.

We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels or sell personal information for targeted advertising. Because we do not engage in those activities, the website does not currently present a separate advertising opt-out. We will update this Policy and provide any required controls before those practices change.

6. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose relevant information:

  • to service providers that support hosting, infrastructure, security, content delivery, customer support, and other operations, subject to appropriate contractual or confidentiality obligations;
  • to Tebex and payment participants to create baskets, process and fulfill purchases, prevent fraud, handle refunds or disputes, and meet tax or legal requirements;
  • to Discord and Minecraft/Microsoft services when you use those platforms or choose to link or interact through them;
  • to our authorized team members who need the information for operations, moderation, support, or security;
  • for legal and safety reasons when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, the public, Static Studios, or the Services; and
  • as part of a business transaction involving a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the Services, subject to applicable law.

We may publish or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you. We do not sell personal information for money.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Retention depends on the type of record and may include:

  • active account, gameplay, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the Services;
  • security, moderation, ban, and appeal records for as long as needed to protect the community, prevent evasion, and document enforcement;
  • transaction and tax records for the period required by payment, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations;
  • support records for as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain an appropriate history; and
  • browser-stored information until it expires, you sign out, or you clear your browser data.

We may retain information longer when required by law, needed for a legal claim, or necessary to protect the Services. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it until deletion is practical.

8. International Data Transfers

The Services and our providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms or other lawful safeguards. Third-party providers are responsible for the safeguards described in their own privacy notices.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and limiting information to team members who need it. No online service or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information or account has been compromised, contact us promptly and secure the relevant Minecraft, Microsoft, Discord, and payment accounts.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; appeal a denied request; or complain to a data-protection authority. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

Submit a request through an official Discord support ticket or email support@staticstudios.net. Describe the right you want to exercise and provide your Minecraft username and any other information reasonably needed to locate your records. We may verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including when information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, transactions, legal compliance, or the rights of others. If we deny a request, you may reply to appeal the decision.

You can delete locally stored website information through your browser settings. Requests concerning information controlled independently by Tebex, Discord, Microsoft, or Mojang must be directed to that provider.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the law where a child lives sets a higher minimum age, that higher age applies. Users under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission, including permission before making a purchase.

If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this section, contact us. We will investigate and delete the information where required. A parent or guardian may submit a privacy request on behalf of a minor, subject to appropriate verification.

12. Third-Party Privacy Notices

For information controlled by other services, review their notices:

Links to third-party notices are provided for convenience and may change without notice.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, or applicable law. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice of material changes where required. The revised Policy applies when posted or on any later date stated in the notice.

14. Contact

Questions, complaints, and privacy requests can be submitted through an official Discord support ticket or by email to support@staticstudios.net.
